The b520 illuminance meter is a universal high-precision illuminance measuring device. It is characterized by a 4-digit digital display of readable measurement values (8,000 times), and the display range is from 600klx to 0.1mlx. The instrument (built in a compact desktop enclosure) is usually powered by the mains, but can also be powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. Support the use of special illuminance probes, the instrument can also measure cylindrical illuminance Ez or semi-cylindrical illumination Esz.

The b520 digital illuminance meter consists of a p30 SC0 illuminance probe and a B520 measurement control box. Comply with Class A and Class L lighting requirements (DIN5032 part 7)

Due to the high-precision matching of the V(λ) of the illuminance probe, the LED light source can be measured without restriction.

Illuminance probe

The p30 SC0 illuminance probe contains a silicon photodiode, and the filtered light can be well adapted to (f1<1.0%) the optical efficiency curve V(λ) of the human eye's optical spectrum.

The cosine receiver can also measure non-normal incidence (f2<1.5%).

The diameter of the photosensitive surface (diffuser) is 30 mm. The detector head outside the turbid material (diffuser) serves as a reference plane for incident light. The illuminance probe has a built-in level and

The telescopic tripod can accurately adjust the horizontal plane.

An M-6 thread is connected to the side of the worktable, and a ?” thread is connected to the bottom to make the tripod usable. Each illuminance probe provides an independent curve showing the relative spectral sensitivity and the cosine diagram with an error of f2. The p30 SC0 illuminance probe meets and exceeds All lighting requirements for Class A and Class L have been met (DIN5032, part 7)

The temperature coefficient of the illuminance meter reaches α <-0.1% /K.

For accurate measurement, it is recommended to use a constant temperature stabilized illuminance probe (optional).

This ensures the stability of the 35°C constant temperature silicon photoelectric element and its filtering. The resulting temperature coefficient is α <0.01 %/K. The power supply voltage for the thermostat is about 24v DC. The maximum current will be less than 0.3 A. This current is provided by b520, and is transferred from the 4-pin connection cable to the illuminance probe (pins 2 and 3).

There is a red LED light at the bottom of the illuminance meter, and the magnetic head indicates the operation of the thermostat. After reaching a stable temperature, the heating current and the brightness of the LED lamp decrease. It takes about 15 minutes to reach a stable temperature after switching the power supply.

It is also advisable to use this option in

It can also be used when there is a significant change between the ambient temperature and the original calibration temperature of 25°C.

A 3m cable connects the illuminance probe to b520. An extension cord can be used to measure down to 0.001lx.

Please note: For operations below 0.0001 lx, avoid moving the extension cord during measurement.

Controller B520

The measuring instrument includes a switching amplifier for short-circuit feedback and a 7-gear illuminance probe connected to it, with a step of 10. The range can be selected automatically or manually, and can also be remotely controlled via the RS 232 interface or optional BCD output.

The display area has 4 digital readings (0-7999) of the measured value and the corresponding decimal point and unit display (klx, lx or mlx). The brightness can be adjusted to the surrounding illuminance through the "DIM" knob. The measurement rate of the standard version is about 2.5 readings/sec and the analog integration time constant is 100ms, and can be increased to 5 readings/sec, and the analog integration time constant is 20ms.

The analog output and RS232 interface can be used to connect other devices such as printers, plotters and computers. BCD data can be output as required. The instrument is built into a compact desktop enclosure. The standard version is powered by the mains.

The optional built-in rechargeable battery allows approximately 15 hours of independent host operation and a tool is available. When the battery is running, the constant temperature and stable illuminance probe (optional) powered by the built-in power supply will not work.
