Accurately measure the radiation, luminosity and chromaticity of LEDs

LED-based light sources have widely replaced traditional light sources, and their technological advantages have promoted many new applications, such as human-oriented lighting or gardening lighting. This has brought a series of new measurement tasks to the development and quality control of LED lighting laboratories.

LEDs have some unique optoelectronic properties, so semiconductor components must undergo multiple quality inspections during the entire manufacturing process from the chip to the finished lighting module. For this reason, an integrating sphere and a spectrometer are usually used in combination as measuring equipment. This combination can measure all relevant luminosity, radiation and chromaticity values, such as luminous flux, color temperature, color rendering or light intensity.
